Black Rock Elementary School Opened Fall 2008
Erie’s next elementary school at 2000 Mountain View Boulevard, between Forsythia Street and Skyline Drive, in Vista Ridge opened in the Fall of 2008. The $8.1 million, 52,000-square-foot school has a student capacity of 525. Vista Ridge children will attend Black Rock Elementary; older children attend Erie Middle School and the new state-of-the-art Erie High School. A variety of private-school options also are available for parents, both within and near the community. The new school is located in the St. Vrain Valley School District, the 10th largest school district in Colorado.
